wow! this is really gorgeous. those 'pebbles' look super intricate. i'm a michigander too and can appreciate the petosky-ish-ness of the pattern.  Wink

Think of free-motion quilting like drawing where the pen never leaves the paper. Making endless circles is sort of mesmerizing and hypnotic, you just swirl the fabric around and around as you move left, then right. Cheesy

i love purple, and you did a great job with all those triangles.

did you quilt that on a regular machine, or on a long-arm?
(the best i can ever achieve doing free-motion is either stipple-ish meander, or meander-stipple.  lol)
