Hi Craftsters, it's been a minute!

I wanted to share this furniture makeover I did last weekend, I'm excited about it!

Back when we moved into our first apartment together in college, my then-boyfriend (now husband) got a TV cabinet for $6 at the thrift store. It was ugly, but fine, and was never in bad enough shape to get rid of. So from 2005-2019 it moved from home to home with us and mostly has lived in closets and stayed out of sight.

I saw this blog post by The Painted Hive and fell in love: http://thepaintedhive.net/2014/07/re-love-project-before-after/
My skills aren't nearly to her level, but I've ALWAYS wanted map drawers but don't typically have a spare $3k lying around to buy some broken furniture and felt inspired. Instead of real wood, I went with vinyl wood floor planks which were wonderful to cut to the sizes I need and already had adhesive on them. Anyway, here are some rough photos of the process (that involved only a little bit of toddler-labor, promise Smiley) Thank you for looking!!

Amazing.. We just picked up some cabinets at a yard sale for $10 each, they are great candidates for a project like this.
