So I am attempting to create from my stash and what a perfect time to destash some of my wooden thread spools.  I have have some of these for over 25 years. Lol.  So when I joined the altered heart swap got 2 partners each with different color choices I decided the perfect way to destash.  So here are both one aqua one purple.  The heart is about 12 inches in size and I used the spools full of thread around the outer edge filled in the gaps with empty spools just some e6000.  Of course I painted each wood  heart base front and back first. After all the spools were glued down I added buttons, charms, fabric yo-you and other doo dads.  These were glued as well.  The perfect bow was ribbon and rick-rack!

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

I loved seeing these in the swap and love seeing them again. What a great concept. What is the overall size of these goodies?

I am guessing about 12 inches by 10 inches.  Wood came from Michael's. 6.99 I think but used 40 % off coupon.  It was not valentine wood just there normal shaped wood.  I wish I would have taken a photo of them sideways and if I did with my camera, I think I may have, I will update this later.  The thread spools are various sizes so it is also very dimensional.

Buttons, sewing snaps, large sewing needle, sewing bobbins, covered buttons, yo-yo's, rhinestones.  Super fun and easy.

Now I need to be on the lookout for more wooded spools with thread for some coworker gifts next Christmas.  They fell in love too!
