I recently won a competion to win a van load of mannequin parts and I am so excited to use them in my artwork  Grin

They instantly made an appearance in my Abandoned Toys. Meet Dexter (so named for his now found dexterity  Wink )

Here I am in front of the huge pile of mannequin parts we got to pick through when we won the competition from a local mannequin recycling center.

The van when we had loaded up. Eeek that's alot of mannequins  Shocked

The hands and arms down in my basement  Cheesy

So naturally, the first thing I thought to do was to put them on a teddy bear... I had the perfect one in mind

They were the perfect size!

So here he is in all his glory. Isn't he adorable  Grin His mouth is the bottom half of a latex pumpkin halloween mask Smiley

Cool creation!  The static and articulated hands are an interesting contrast.  At first, I thought that the mouth was a piece of a striped winter hat; it didn't even occur to me that it was anything else like a mask.

I had no idea that there was such a thing as a mannequin recycling center either, I always figured that they just ended up in dumpsters when they outlived their usefulness.  Do they often run contests like that?  Seems like an unusual thing to do.  If I won a bunch of mannequin parts, I'd be thinking, "Giant dolls to dress up!"  (Cue thrift store assistant manager rolling her eyes and shaking her head when I dump a small mountain of women's clothing on the counter.)

That is fabulous! And I am quite envious of those articulated hands, what a score.

I'm not online as much as I used to be, don't panic if it takes a while for me to reply to things Smiley.
