I made a junk journal for quaggy in the 12 mini days of Christmas swap.  I know she likes to collect vintage games and I am a big board gamer so it was a no-brainer to go with a game theme.  I had almost all the supplies on hand but did go to the thrift store to find the Sorry board.

I made 3 large signatures with lots of room for expansion if quaggy adds in any ephemera or extras.

I included some altered tickets, altered library cards, playing cards, paper clips, stamping

Some marbled papers, ATCs, mini notebooks, lots of old book pags including mechanical drawings and vintage craft books

Maps, more mini notebooks, envelopes, pockets, washi tapes, game pieces

paper dolls, receipt pages, scraps of note papers

old photos, game scorecards, pieces of old envelopes, almon covers

homemade tags, more game pieces

music pages, magazine pages, ledger papers

junk mail, random ephemera

Super cool! I was trying to describe junk/smash journals to a friend just yesterday, I'll have to show her this as an excellent example.

So cool, geekgirl1000100! Great reuse of a game board. I love how much extra room is in there too so things can be added. Awesome journal!

I love the use of so many different papers and add-ins. Now I'm in the mood for junk journaling once again, which is a good thing because I have a gift to make. It will be a junk journal for a family member to use with her little granddaughter. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is the coolest!

You've got me thinking about the couple-few junk shop game boards in my stash. Hmmmmmmmm.

Yaaay, this turned out so good -- both the contents and the cover! Is that actual bookbinding tape on the cover? It looks so smooth and professional.

Thanks.  Yes, it is bookbinding tape.  It's actually very easy to work with. Easier than say duct tape.
