My nieces are still young enough to enjoy playing with dolls, so I decided to make them something special for Christmas this year - dolls that look like them! They were very well-received and everyone had questions about the process. These dolls were definitely the most satisfying project of the season and I had a blast creating them. Except the hair. That doll hair is a pain to work with, but it looks and feels so nice!

I used an Ever After High doll and a Monster High doll that sort of matched their skin colors and face shapes. The dolls got a complete repaint and reroot.

I purchased a pattern for the school uniforms, and used actual uniform plaid to make the skirts. The shoes are leather with waxed linen laces. I made my own pattern for those.
