this was my first attempt to sculpt to 28mm scale.
my brother is creating a christmas themed Mordheim (an old table top miniature war game) warband so i decided to make him a little somthing to go with it. i didnt want to put a lot of effort into painting it as i thought he would almost certainly want to paint it himself but because it is a gift i used coloured clay to sculpt it because  i wanted it to look a little more impressive than it would have if i sculpted it in scrap clay.
i did add a wash of water blue acrylic paint to his body to pick up a little detail though. i textured the snow using a texture sponge, it gets a lot of use, usually with black clay so rolling the white clay over it made it nicely grubby which fits well with the dark theme.

I can't help but think there is something wrong with me - but I think I love this more than a jolly Frosty-esque snowman.... I kind of want this in my window.  It makes me think of the warped/tortured snowmen a friend made years ago - but so much more sophisticated!

That's a wonderful little snow golem (c'mon, you know that's what it'd be classified as in a tabletop RPG)!  Great detail and pose.
