The ManFlesh has been cooking quite a bit with turmeric. I've already made turmeric-colored napkins, picked up a turmeric-colored kitchen towel, and dug up an old, yellow dish rag to try to keep the stains contained.

The man never remembers to wear an apron or at least put on a already-stained shirt! So for xmas, he's getting this!

I cut a freezer paper stencil with my Cricut, mixed a few yellow craft paints together with textile medium to get a turmeric-y stain color, et voila!

Hahaha! What a great idea! Did you dye the shirt with turmeric first?

I've made my stepdad t-shirts that he can ruin and I put random logos on them. I made sure to tell my mother that he was allowed to wreck those shirts so she wasn't yelling at him for wrecking his good ones Smiley It works, and every time I see him wearing one of them, I get a chuckle out of it! Hopefully this shirt works as well for you!

I love it! The yellow-on-yellow could not look better, that was a great choice.

Aw, shucks. THANKS, everyone!

I love it! The yellow-on-yellow could not look better, that was a great choice.

Are ya' kiddin' me? I'm not wasting perfectly good spices pre-staining a shirt!  Grin I just picked up a yellow shirt at the craft store.  Roll Eyes

When I was a decorative painting contractor, my mom would buy me t-shirts fully intending them to be paint shirts. Sometimes they were something she saw and thought of me, sometimes they were souvenirs from her travels.

Great idea. I've often used turmeric myself to dye things because it seems to work with every type of fabric. But it also fades with time and washing so perhaps just as well you didn't use it to pre-stain  Smiley
I probably need a cooking with tomatoes shirt myself  Wink

Haha! Seriously, I ought not be allowed to even wear a shirt when eating a lot of the time. But if there are much that is stain-y in cooking, I put on an apron!
