And a Q- a heat gun- do you use it before baking? -I'm trying to learn clay work but am such a newb and never heard of heat gun used for clay! And I always appreciate your tips and tutes- it's so kind of you to share!
thank you  Smiley
yes, i used the heat gun before baking. i only cured the mushroom caps for a minute with the heat gun because they are so small. it wont cure them properly so you still need to bake it but it sets the clay enough that it wont warp or move while you carry on sculpting. i also used it to set the stalks of the mushrooms so they didnt bend or move while

That is all so helpful! Going to buy a heat gun now-  sort of wanted for many other things but that is it, getting one now! (Like when I saw the texture clay gets when pushed through metal mesh and had to run out to get one 😄).
[I also looked at your FB page and my jaw dropped at your skills! If I ever did an actual FB account,  it would be just to stalk your work!].
Thank you!

Somehow I am obsessed with this texture as well and have to find ways to seal it without taking away from the texture - when I used resin it just evened it all out ... not sure what sprays to look for.
