made these for a personal swap, vintage halloween cat buttons and a pin. I mixed a little black paint with liquid clay and applied it around the edge of the buttons and sanded it off in places to give a worn look.




not a tutorial as such but a few photos to give you some idea of how i made the cat cane.




i cut the cane in two at this point as i wanted to create two different canes, one to pack with orange as a background to make the buttons and another to leave as it was to cut a slice from to make the brooch

The way you can make canes has baffled me before and when I saw the buttons,  I knew you used a cane, but couldn't wrap my head around how you did it!  Cheesy You've got such a talent and your skills are incredible as well!

they not huge, they measure about 2cm across
