My mom passed some vintage, embroidered pillowcases to me recently. Some were to far gone to be pillowcases, but the embroidery was in good shape, most were family pieces. I figured I'd get around to making them into a pinterest-inspired lampshade or bunting someday, but when mom mentioned that she found this pair particularly pretty even though they were machine embroidered by a factory somewhere, I decided to make her some hanger covers.

Yey for handmade stocking stuffers!

These came out beautifully!  I love that you were able to salvage part of something that would otherwise have been unusable.  Cheesy

Those are so pretty. Great that you were able to salvage the embroidery.  That's a lovely Christmas present.

Just in case, you know, you needed something different to put a lil' embroidery on Cheesy.

Thanks, Pam! I had forgotten about them, too, but when searching Pinterest for ideas for repurposing vintage linens they popped up!
