Black Forest Cake is a yummy layer cake.

Using a Spray Bottle, bought for that purpose, I sprayed each layer [generously] with Brandy.

Following that, I smeared the filling part of Cherry Pie Filling and stacked the layers.
I carefully Whipped the cream, and stopped before it went too firm.
I got my husband to smear it on the top. While I was placing the Cherries on top of the cake, my husband grated some Chocolate (Id bought for that purpose)

I think it turned out pretty good.

(Except 1/2 a Mickey of Brandy might have been a bit too generous spraying onto the cake.)
But it is Yummy❣️

(For those who might be interested, I used this recipe for the cake:

I had no idea that Brandy was used in this kind of cake! Was it really boozy?

It smelt quite strongly of liquor for a short time.
I woke up this morning thinking maybe my Mum used Rum. Unfortunately, both she and my sister are passed, so I couldnt ask them. I posted on FB that the amount used was perhaps a bit much. My brother replied {there} that Mum used Overprooof Rum.
Ive not seen anyone get drunk from eating a cake that has booze in it. The alcohol evaporates off fairly quickly, leaving behind the flavour.

It makes a very tasty cake.

We have a family friend who makes a boozy loaf cake at Christmas and I think you could get woozy just from the fumes! I always make sure that the littles dont get their hands on it!

Darn!
According to my research (on Google Search engine), its supposed to be Cherry Kirsch or a Cherry liquor.

Oh well. It turned out yummy, anyway.
