The amazing piece was on display at the World of Thread  exhibit in Oakville, Ontario. We had the pleasure of attending with our friends Wulf and his partner Ian today and I am so happy that we went.
Wulf said he is always so struck by how well free-motion embroidery lends itself to the depiction of trees, their branches, roots, bark. I have to agree. Just look at this wonderful circular piece of work by artist Lorraine Roy. It is so fantastic, I just had to share it with you.

I wish I had gotten many more photos of it but here is one close up at least.
