Today my daughter and I went to the World of Thread exhibit in Oakville, Ontario with Wulf and his partner and it was INCREDIBLE! There was such an abundance of work on display, really beautiful pieces of art. I took photos of a few things that were too good not to share.
This is a really clever gown made from a vintage quilt. It's pieced together with strips of quilt attached with metal zippers so there are many ways to don or disrobe from the garment. I am a bit crazy about quilted tiny squares and I always hope to see old quilts rescued and repaired or at least turned into something new so this had massive appeal for me.
