My 10 yo decided she wanted to be Karlsson this year (makes my heart good). He's such a fun guy (well, if you don't overthink his questionable ways and character  Roll Eyes

She didn't want to wear the wig we made from yarn, but was sporting the overalls I sewed for her and the fully functional  (manually) propeller her dad made.

(For most Americans Karlsson is not a character they'd necessarily know about - wish he was Grin - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karlsson-on-the-Roof )

I love when children choose literary characters for their costumes.  I (an American, yet cartoon connoisseur) have never heard of Karlsson!  Off to YouTube I go!

BTW she's super cute and seemed to encompass Karlsson perfectly!

That costume is perfect and she looks just right inhabiting Karisson! It, too, love to see kids choose literary characters, particularly the more "obscure" ones! My grade school had a book character dress up day every year. I only did it once, I was an Oz character, but don't remember her name. Sad

Thanks so much, everyone!
She did the freckles herself 👍 - it's cool what kind of crazy costume makeup kids do, inspired by tutorials  (well, the freckles are basic tho haha).

And it's always so cool when they opt to be something fun like Frida or Pippi etc, not only popular tv show characters  Wink
