This may be old information, but I was very happy to run across it... I recently came across a tutorial (on another site) that showed how to cut rubber tubing (I used cutters designed for cutting tubing... but scissors would work) in lengths slightly under 1/4" and cut each ring open on one side. The split rings of tubing can then be used to wrap around a bobbin to keep the thread ends corralled.

You cannot know how happy this makes me... or maybe you can if, like me, the sight of the many tangled bobbin ends drives you crazy!

Oh my gumballs, that's so tidy and exciting!  What a brilliant way to keep bobbins from discombobbinulating

Thanks! I can remember a day when I was a kid when I organized my moms sewing box. I hand wound a bobbin for every color of thread she had (I still remember how disappointed I was when she said they wouldnt work in the machine). I guess Ive been bobbin-obsessed for a long time!
