I love prayer flags, simple, thoughtful, beautiful. So the lastest mini prayer flag swap was fun. A new size, another chance to send love out into the world.

We were to make 3 flags, keep one and send the other two to our partner. Our partner is to keep one and abandon the other out in the world.

I grabbed her bird theme and captured a trio of cardinals on cloth. They came out looking very vintage Christmas cardish. It was hard picking out which to keep and which to send. Since polka dots was another theme element, polka dot wing cardinal got a chance to travel, and I just randomly picked another.

Take a look.

They were stitched down by machine and then trimmed. I roughed the cut edges a bit and added white beads for snow. The words were stamped on last.

These are just gorgeous. I love the polka dot wing!

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

They aren't awesome, really beautiful.
