I'm leaving for Disney tonight and had to create myself a few Disney Bounds to wear while there. Since we'll be in the Magic Kingdom on October 21st, which is also Carrie Fisher's birthday, I decided I had to have a Leia bound for that day <3 I used the Patterns for Pirates Wiggle Crop Top with elbow length sleeves for the top of my dress, and altered it to be what I needed. I lowered the neckline in the front, and added the open bell sleeves at the elbow. The skirt was simply a full circle skirt that I drafted myself. There is also a scarf styled hood (like on her classic white dress) attached at the back neckline starting at the shoulders. I made the Belt from a silver marine vinyl and the ears from a glitter mirror canvas that I had in my scrap stash. The bow is marine vinyl and accented with a swarovski crystal. I was trying to make the bow feel like her belt <3

Everything looks wonderful. I really like the sleeves and that scoopy hood/cape. Most excellent work, sure to get many, many comments when you wear it.

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
