So I printed this pattern from Stitch magazine 5 years ago. Finally made it this summer and it's now one of my favorite dresses. It was probably supposed to be done up in a knit and I took a chance on a cotton. Modifications were adding a bit of width to the sleeves, about 4" of length and a keyhole closure in the back to accommodate the change in fabric.

Here's the link to the pattern: http://www.sewdaily.com/sewing-patterns-and-projects/dresses/pattern-kimono-sleeve-a-line-dress

That is a really pretty dress and looks well made. Kudos on sewing clothes. I keep saying I am going to do that more but it's intimidating.

I love the cotton! It gives it more structure to highlight the fabric material. Maybe the next can be knit?

It looks like the skirt undulates at the peak  - great detai!

Perfect summer dress. I love citrus fruits so I think that may be why I am so drawn to this fabric, it's beautiful Smiley Maybe now summer is over, you can whip up a knit version?  Wink

Beautiful, and it's impressive to me when someone can modify things and make it their own (I can't "modify" lol).  Yay, you!
