I had recently seen a craft using clothespins to make a sort of letter card (another idea for another day) and it inspired me to make a clothespin animal, like an alligator, a shark or a hippo, so that the clothespin would be the animal's mouth.  But I couldn't manage a tidy enough way to do so (yet another idea for another day).  So instead I went with making a flower, with scrapbook paper and some paint chip flower centers.  The clothespin can stand up and you can also use it as a clip for a little memo reminder or photo display or something like that.

I made a bunch and varied the color combos:

There is a large flower on both sides of the clothespin, so I wrote my greeting on the back flower.  I imagine you can even add a magnet to it to increase its use further.  Would make a nice little teacher's or grandparent/babysitter gift tag with the photo of your kid clipped to it.

They are very cute and sweet and I agree, great grandparent or teacher gift.

What a precious way to brighten someone's day!  Having a flower card on a desk would make people smile.
