I've been collecting fortunes from fortune cookies nearly my entire post-pubescent life, with the plan to "do something" with them someday (lol). I had a whole box full of them, and liked to periodically draw one out and let it be a fun thing the think about during my day. Well, I finally did something with them!

Behold, my Happy Book! I decorated all the pages of a hardback art-quality Moleskine with origami paper, washi tape, and doodles, then added my fortunes. I tried to arrange them thematically when possible, in groupings about love, friendship, travel, work, etc, then I glued a coin to the cover. I love it! It's like a big book of happy, and so many of the fortunes are like little positive mantras that can be meditated on, so I can literally just pick a spot, point, and smile (I hope the pics are big enough to read them). I was sure to leave plenty of room for future fortunes!

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Neato! I, too, have saved all my fortunes and those of my dinner companions for many years. I have only ever found a few projects to include them in, but that's not going to keep me from collecting more!

Awesome variation on the usual quote book, and great gift idea!
