Thank you so much JoyfulClover!

Got to get those last trees in under the wire!

Class/Challenge: Hagrids Trees: Angel
House: Slytherin
Project: Christmas Card For a Dear Friend

This particular Christmas Card went to my friend Kim who is definitely an angel in my life.

Class/Challenge: Hagrids Trees: Garland
House: Slytherin
Project: Snake tattoo art

I live in the south so we see a lot of snakes in the winter because its not cold enough for the snakes to leave but they come out of their hibernation to sun on the driveway from time to time.

Class/Challenge: Hagrids Trees: Icicles
House: Slytherin
Project: Makit-Bakit Fail

Ok so we got these make it bake it kits because I always loved them when I was a kid and Erin had never tried them before, well they were actually really hard! It was way too easy to disturb the metal frame and have to start all over. I finally got mine all done and ready to go in the oven when POP! The cookie sheet warped suddenly and offset the metal design frame. Well I took a look at the pile of little plastic pellets and decided it would be cool to see what they did if I melted them anyway without the design frame. The result was this sort of blobby abstract tree art chunk. Anyway, in order to melt it it had to be kept at a certain temperature.

Class/Challenge: Hagrids Trees: Tinsel
House: Slytherin
Project: Sparkly Christmas Card

This Christmas Card has a glittery pattern of sparkles painted on it above the trees.

Class/Challenge: Hagrids Trees: FakeSnow
House: Slytherin
Project: Christmas Card

I made this Christmas card with a package of blank cards from a craft store

Class/Challenge: Hagrids Trees: Baubles
House: Slytherin
Project: Christmas Card

I really love hand making my Christmas cards every year because they show off my personal style. I really like abstract art and I really like to pick a design element and vary on it in a series. With these Christmas cards I took the shape of a triangle and varied on that as much as I could.

I haven't been around much but I just caught up checking on all the posts I missed and holy moly - you're a talented bunch of people! I'm loving all the Christmas ornaments! I couldn't comment on everything/everyone but here's the highlights:

Patty_o_furniture: I love those chicken bean bags! So silly!
FiberAlchemist: Gorgeous tree skirt! I love quilted Christmas things.
Gaudiknight: I think planner decorating totally counts. Its not like you stick them on there all willy nilly...it takes a silly amount of time to pick the perfect spot. Glad to see another planner person on here. Cheesy
Audania1: I love that Christmas tree cross stitch. <3
TechnicolorAquahearts: I went to your FB page and I love your music!!
ErinAquaheart: I know its not craft related but your neice is SO friggin cute! So precious.

I finally finished my NEWT blanket!!! Cheesy

~*COMPLETED NEWT HEADER*~
NEWT Subject: Transfiguration
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: A Little Help From My Friends CAL
Project Page Link: (Ravelry project page)
Brief Description: I transfigured 5603 yards (over 3 miles! & over 5 km!) of yarn into a blanket using this pattern. It was supposed to be a gift for Christmas last year, but I didn't finish it in time. So now it's a gift for this year! Grin
I followed the pattern for most of the blanket, but there were a few sections where I did something different because I didn't feel like doing a particular stitch (or misread the instructions! Tongue).

Just wanted to pop in and say that I've been lurking all semester and have been loving everything.  But somehow I have forgotten to post any of my own projects. I wanna help Hufflepuff w/ house points + I made some pretty cool stuff recently; so I'll definitely be doing so before the end of the month.

Heck yeah PhoenixWolf!  Don't worry, you can post at any time during the term, and it's not uncommon for folks to post a bunch of projects on the last few days of the term.  (Which always makes point tallying fun!  lol) Smiley
