Finally giving macramé a go. Made a small plant hanger to hang in a narrow bit of wall between two windows. I'm pretty pleased, even though it's a very simple one, and definitely want to do more projects. Does anyone have any good resources or book suggestions you'd be willing to share, so that I can learn more knots and techniques?

I think it looks great. I find lots of vintage patterns at thrift shops, you could check there. I bet there's loads on pinterest, youtube videos too. Crafty peeps like to share Wink.

Looks elegant and the hanging tassel on the bottom is a nice touch.

I've never macramed anything, but I agree that thrift stores are a good place to look for books and such on the subject.

Those bookends in the last photo are pretty sweet too!

Thank you for the links!

It's been a crazy few years for me, but I'm settled now, and hopefully back for good. Missed this community!

Thank you! Those bookends... straight from a thrift shop. $1.99 😁

Nice job. Looks fantastic!

I too have always wanted to macrame. We had tons of these plant hangers around the house growing up and I always loved them. Might just have to go raid the Youtubes now.... Wink
