Found these mermaids from the second hand shop and knew they belonged on my mermaid wall! 

Painted their tails with a swirl up their cheeks.  I added some waves to show the ocean as well.  Finished with a strong coat of glitter on their fins, very pretty in the light!


On my wall.  You can see two craftsters work up there too!


Poor Audri, nobody wanted her.

Nice job redesigning the mermaids you found.  The body paint/tattoos on the upper body are an interesting look that sets them apart from the usual mermaid fare.  The only mermaids I ever find in thrift stores are dolls (plastic or plush) and knick knack figurines/statues; I've never seen wooden silhouettes like these.

Cool collection on your walls; the blue paint even works as an underwater environment for your finned ladies.

These mermaids are gorgeous! Very awesome redo. I never would have thought to make the swirls continue up their bodies. It's very creative and looks amazing.
