I'm new to sewing, braannndd new. And I'm quickly diving in. I'm lookin to buy a new or uses serging machine. I found a Brother Serger Machine 1634D on Craigslist for $150. Its brand new and in original packaging with all the accessories.

Any opinions? Should I get it? Is this a machine that will last? Easy to use?

Thanks guys!

Generally, Brother's sewing machines are considered to be one of the best. They are very convenient for both beginners and professionals. I myself use the Brother XM2701 Lightweight http://bestsewingmachinesguide.com/best-sewing-machines-for-beginners/ sewing machine and have not regretted it yet. Most of all I like the fact that it has 6 fast modes of changing the sewing leg. Grin

Yes It is a good sewing machine. But I will suggest you to don't go with craiglist. Instead of craiglist, you may go with Amazon. We are professional sewing machine reviewer, and we have used many best brother sewing machine. As you are beginner, I will suggest you to read the best brother sewing machine reviews and then proceed to get one for you.
