Hey all, paper crafting is not one of my stronger crafting areas. I never feel as if I am creative enough, or have enough supplies, or even the right supplies. But, I am enjoying trying new things, so I join the atc swaps occasionally, and I joined the holiday tags and cards swap for the first time this year.
Here is one of my favorite tags and cards. I burned the edges of both the card and tag to make it look aged, burned the edge of the book page (A Christmas Carol), added a Tim Holtz cut out and ribbon for embellishment.

I'm not really a vintage person, but I really love how these turned out.

Thanks for looking!

(PS, the background is from  a group paint night of a cherry blossom.)

I think those both look adorable. The cheery ribbon & "Joy" are great contrast with the vintage colours & images. Burning the edges is a unique finishing touch.
I'm not a confident paper crafter either. I try to keep up with the ATC swap to push myself with those easy, tiny projects. It's been helping me feel more creatively inspired by ephemera, it's cool!

Thank you craftylittlemonkey and rackycoo.  I remember my friend burning the edges of paper when we were in HS to "age" a project we were working on.

Very pretty!  I know what you mean about feeling out of your element with paper crafting.  I have so many little bits and bobs in my paper crafting stash, but I never feel like I have the *right* bits, or tools, or what-have-you.  But clearly, you have the most important part, creativity.  Your tag and card came out beautifully.
