I used this tutorial to make a skirt for myself and there was quite a bit of fabric left over so I cut some smaller squares and made a version for my daughter.

I changed the pattern a bit adding triangular pieces to the ends of the rows so the hem is more straight than pointy. I ended up taking the corners off the square because those hung down so much they looked funny but the rest was a good call I think.

I also cut the waist out as a circle and added a folded over strip of tshirt fabric with elastic in it.

It looks cute on her!

Spin shot Smiley.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Great mod for your little! I am reminded of two things from my 1970s childhood: 1) how the Pointer Sisters had coordinating, but not exactly matching stage costumes and 2) Coordinating Barbie & Skipper outfits. YEY!

I hope you two wear them at the same time, possibly even to go out and about.

Thanks ladies Smiley.

I suggested wearing them together and she's game. I better get lots of photos, she's on the cusp of puberty and will soon be horrified at such an idea, haha.
