This is a card I made recently for a friend celebrating a wedding this Fall, that I will have to unfortunately miss.  It does suck working every other weekend sometimes.  Anyways, I love sweet peas and kind of splurged a bit with this set of stamps and dies - they are one of my most loved flowers and when I saw this new release I knew I just had to have it... making this card helped me justify it Smiley  Actually, I am happy how it turned out and I may use it to make another set of kindness cards for abandonment also.

Anyways, this is a large card with a pearl base, and water coloured sweet peas.  Some are die cut on foam mounts to add some dimension.

I added a gold embossed sentiment die cut in front, and on the inside, added a gift card holder as well...

I hope she likes it - and it's too bad I won't be there for the wedding - I am sure it will be beautiful Smiley  It will be at a vineyard in the Fall.

More pics and details on my blog if anyone is interested.

This is such a pretty and special card! I love sweet peas, too.

This is beautiful, and I love the gift card holder. The foam mounts really make it "real." I'll have to start using mine more often!

Beautiful job.  I'm sure she will love the extra work you put into it since you can't be there.

Thanks - Jim just mailed it off Thursday and she had it last night - I just got a nice message from her thanking me Smiley  She was also the recipient of one of the hand made goodbye cards awhile back because we used to work together too and she moved to London, ON to be with her fiancee last year - so she knew I made this card too.

That card holder was one of those things I wiffle waffled over - the price was good, but I really thought would I use it?  I could cobble together a holder on my own, or figure another way to do it - I have made mini envelopes to tuck money or cards into for other cards in the past.  But in the end, I got it (it was on deep discount at the time - I don't think I even would have looked at it at retail pricing!).  I have to admit, it saved me time, and I can see using it to make a pop up message or prop in a card too, now that I have used it.
