I had a huge canvas sitting around collecting dust and decided to finally put it to use. I called her ‘Nephillim Rising.’ Its a HUGE painting. I’ll try and add other pics for reference but when I upload from my phone, if I upload more than one, they get distorted on here for some reason!

Anyhow, here’s the poem I wrote for her:

Nephilim Rising

She rose from the earth
With grandeur and strength.
The mountains shook with delight
As she took form.
She was new to this world
And yet as ancient as time.
With wisdom in her eyes
And a soul bursting with purpose,
She drew in a deep breath,
Opened her heart,
And set forth to undo the damage
Caused by her ancestors.

Wow! This piece is beautiful. I love her freckles and the wisdom in her eyes from the poem certainly does show. Smiley

Great job!  The portrait and the lightning storm over her head are my favorite aspects of this piece and I also like the curvature of the mountain range and surrounding earth framing her.  Cool poem too.  That is one large painting indeed.

I had to look Nephilim up too; I was thinking the word was from Norse mythology, but, nope, they're biblical.  I be getting rusty!
