Now we're in Gumby; I'm gonna walk through a book.

Hello!  This is a cake for a sweet friend....sadly, the cake died a horrible death this morning while I was driving it to work after leaping from my passenger side seat to the car floor mat below, where it drowned in an entire cup of coffee I had just managed to spill.  (I blame the knocked over coffee for me knocking over the cake in my haste to save my purse/car.  So...really I'm to blame, lol.)  (I still snuck in a bite that wasn't covered in foot coffee.  It was delicious!)

My friend had to leave work early to pick up a sick kiddo anyway, so we wouldn't have been able to celebrate her today as it is.  We'll reconvene with cupcakes once little one is better.  But for a brief moment, this cake was great!   Cheesy  My three year old has already decided that he wants one just like it for his "home" birthday celebration when he turns four in a few weeks.  I did not realize that we were having multiple celebrations that would require multiple cakes.   Cheesy Wink

That is so tragic! But also I laughed way too hard at "foot coffee." Grin It's a beautiful cake with very creative decorating. I love the way you have the cookies on sticks and floating like balloons. Hopefully the next version of the cake will not suffer the same ignominious fate. Wink

Mmm...foot coffee. Cheesy

Seriously, though, this looks so, so good. I want one for *my* next birthday, but I'd be the one making it, so that's not likely to happen. Thinking really hard about sugar cookies right now, however.

I'm so sorry about your unfortunate accident but it was beautiful nonetheless!  I love the incorporation of the cookies on stems!

This cake is gorgeous! And as if losing it weren't tragic enough, you lost your coffee, too!
