For the past 2 years,I have been participating in a "chair"ity auction for our local child advocacy group. This year instead of painting a chair, I decided to build one. I covered the board in painters tape, then drew on the doodles and cut them out. Once I had a stencil made, I painted on pressure sensitive adhesive and added silver foil.  After removing the tape, I stained the entire peice with dark walnut stain. I still want to add a bracket on the back that will hold the boards together when the chair is disassembled. I had a lot of fun making it and am pleased with how it came out. Thanks for letting me share.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Pretty sweet!  I've never seen a chair design like this before either; how comfortable is it to sit in?  Is the tree supposed to be Yggdrasil?

It's surprisingly comfortable to sit in. I'm not familiar with Yggdrasil?

that chair is awesome. Yggdrasil is the tree that Odin sacrificed himself from, it is the tree that connects the nine worlds of norse mythology and is deeply important. ie vikings would love your chair!

How cool! I might have to study up on that for my next ones! (I'm planning a set for myself, but after I build a fire pit for the back yard)
