The title pretty much tells the story. The ManFlesh has been cooking a few recipes with turmeric lately and man, that stuff STAINS. So I decided we needed turmeric-meal-specific napkins.



I made only four since we're unlikely to ever need more than that at one meal, but did go to the effort of mitering corners in my favorite napkin finish. I had intended to make them out of 100% linen, but a linen blend is what I could get on one trip to one store with my 2-day 60%-off coupon.  Roll Eyes

I've had good luck getting out chili powder, paprika, curry powder, etc. with Shout brand stain remover even on some soft white linen, but nothing seems to touch the turmeric! Which is getting nowhere near my soft white linen!

Thanks everyone! I really love the results from this miter technique which I have used on a couple other napkin projects!

I do think this color is very pretty myself. But it's not one that really goes with our decorating, so it was kind of nice to find a logical reason to use it for this!
