Made this for my partner in the Mini 13 days of Halloween swap.  There is a sheet of Halloween related activities that can be cut up and put in each box, to open one per day.  She had a 4 year old, so I tried to think of activities a 4 year old would enjoy (pick out a pumpkin, eat a Halloween treat, do a Halloween craft, say "boo" to everyone you see today, etc.)  Something about countdown calendars I really like :-)

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I have such great memories of Christmas advent calendars but your Halloween box is supremely stellar!  So unusual and fun!  And I know your little buddy has a blast over the month. An adventure every day!

I crush it!

This is awesome!  What a great use of matchboxes and how wonderful to bring her 2 yr old in on the Halloween fun!

Oh my gosh, Karen ~this is fabulous! Each little box is a work of art. I know this countdown will be enjoyed for years to come.

Love it! My bf's youngest's favorite holiday is Halloween. I really should make one of these before he gets too old for it!

Thanks for all the lovely comments!  I think I'm going to make one for our house next year - with dominos instead of matchboxes - since I don't need to open little boxes ;-)
