This is my Meredith Muskox block from the North Stars pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. Her pattern has blocks with all sorts of arctic animals, which as a displaced Alaskan, I love! The blocks can be made all together, repeated or however you like. I chose to only focus on Meredith Muskox. I also chose to keep the background one solid color; Her pattern uses half-square triangles and flying geese to pattern the edges of the blocks.

I was able to get all the fabrics for Meredith (the black and low volume text I had at home) as precut end of bolt for at most $1.50 a color. The background was clearance $4/yd, the back and binding also clearance at $4/yd, and batting 50% off! Meredith is a thrifty muskox!

She uses pocket corners for hanging, and measues a little shy of pattern, but about a 23" square. I used my sewing machine to quilt her, and chose to go around her outline over and over.  I did follow the patter anyway with the HST and FG, but those don't quietly stand out anymore after quilting.

Nevertheless, I love Meredith, and can't wait to hang her sweet face!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

I'm not familiar with her work, but I love your choice of colors and fabric. Soothing, relaxing, and sweet. Adorable!

I have tried my hand a little at paper piecing and I know it is not easy. This is so cute. I love her. You did an excellent job!
