I don't do much yard decorating. We tend to veggie garden and just getting seeds/plants in, weeded, watered, tended and eaten takes up much free time. But I love eating veggies!

But I changed how the raspberries were trellised this year. They've been dying out from the back to the front for no reason we can discover except the neighbors untrimmed Rose of Sharon and lack of light. This redo left a cross bar right at my head height and when I have a hat on I bash my head on things I can't see. ALL THE TIME!

So I made a little eye-catcher in hopes that my head would stay in better shape.

Bottle caps, wire, printer rollers, beads, small Christmas ornaments, a glass teardop, and other odd items came together in a whimsical flying creature. It may only last a season, but it's fun! And useful.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Well, that's so fun people will never expect that it's actually a safety feature!

Cool dragonfly; you captured the anatomy of the insect beautifully with your assemblage construct!  I particularly like the blue teardrop end of the abdomen (which also makes me think that thermometers would look cool with blue, rather than red, mercury in them).

I bang into things with my baseball cap all the time too, but the rigid bill on that actually saves me from injury, as I have a bad habit of walking into the top section of barbed wire fences and pointy tree branches in particular . . .

I wear a visor with a ridged bill as well, but I am so talented that I can bash my head on anything that comes at me that I don't see. I inherited it from my dad. Luckily I haven't gone bald like he did so my scars don't show. LOL

I want a thermometer with blue, electric blue, mercury.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Aww, it's beautiful AND functional!

And boy do I feel you re: bashing heads & hats into things.  We moved from Ohio to Arizona not too long ago, and I've started wearing hats MUCH more often.  I joke with my husband that I'm apparently just not capable of operating them correctly. Cheesy
