As the photo hosting outage drags on, I just realized I uploaded these pictures months ago & never made a thread for them!

My daughter wanted a dinosaur party for her 5th birthday (see also the dino digs we made, over on the party board) and there was this pack of cute Mesozoic designs at Embroidery Library, so of course I had to make goodie bags.  Bags were a cheap multi-pack off the internet, which then didn't fit on machine's hoop, so I did the embroidery on felt squares & then sewed them in.

All the patterns, finished!  Fun with colors (my favorite is the all green one); we only had six kids, so everyone got to make a choice.

Child-approved, helping me spread them out for photos.

On bags, dino names written on with fabric markers.

And some detail shots:

My child claimed the T-Rex before I even started stitching, so of course I had to make it pink.

What a neat idea!  After the goodies are consumed the bag is usually thrown away, nice that her guests now have a cute memento.  Since you had extras, what did you do with those?

Wonderfully colorful dino bags; I never got anything that swank for a party favor.  It looks like your daughter had a dino-riffic 5th birthday blowout!

I used to be batty about dinosaurs when I was a kid as well; I would have went for the Plesiosaur bag.

Well, they're currently still sitting on my desk, but I'm sure we'll come up with a use for them. Smiley
