I've been trying to make pictures post for hours.  I'm so sorry.  I'm stuck just posting links.

I want to start trying to build more dollhouse furniture. I started with a little shelf and worked up to a little bookcase.  I'm really enjoying myself.  I wanted to attach little decals to the kids' room furniture, but I couldn't seem to shrink the decals small enough to fit without making them unrecognizable.  It was nerve wracking, trying to get everything just right so it would all fit together, and then 3 days ago my brain reset and NOTHING was painted the right color.  They all had to be repainted.

I'm so thankful for this craftalong.  It distracts me when everything else in life falls apart.  <3

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Quidditch Cup Round 1, #1 Chuddley Cannons
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: An Orange Shelf
Brief Description: I enjoy building little things for my dollhouse, but I don't have much experience doing it so I decided to start by building little shelves, and hutches, and such.  This is a little, orange, bookshelf to go in my dollhouse's Disney themed kids room.

Quick question re Quidditch: Can I still take part in Round #2 if I haven't competed in Round#1? I recall we had that rule at one of the previous Quidditch rounnds. I apologise if the answer is blaringly obvious, I woke up with a migraine and am currently dealing with the still throbbing head and the usual "hangover feeling" I get after an attack... Sad

Yes, you can play in Round 2, even if you haven't played in Round 1.

*Quidditch World Cup Round 1 Results*
Round 1 of the Quidditch World Cup is over!  Our first 5 weeks of play saw Quidditch 55 projects posted.  Let's see the results...

In Match #1, the usually dreadful Chuddley Cannons defied expectations to overcome the Caerphilly Catapults, 60 to 30.

In Match #2, the Wigtown Wanderers lost to their longtime rivals Wollongong Warriors, 30 to 75.

In Match #3, in a stunning upset, the Holyhead Harpies were routed by the Tarapoto Tree-Skimmers 15 to 45.

In Match #4, old favorites, the Wimbourne Wasps soundly defeated the Falmouth Falcons, 90 to 30.

In Match #5, the heavily favored Puddlemere United beat the Appleby Arrows, 75 to 15.

In Match #6, in a brutal match the Ballycastle Bats were utterly trounced by the Montrose Magpies, at 0 to 120.

In Match #7, the Tutshill Tornados just edged past the favored Quiberon Quafflepunchers's with a final score of 60 to 45.

In Match #8, the Kenmare Kestrels were soundly beat by the Pride of Portree at 30 to 120.

That means the teams advancing to the Quarterfinals are:
Chuddley Cannons
Wollongong Warriors
Tarapoto Tree-Skimmers
Wimbourne Wasps
Puddlemere United
Montrose Magpies
Tutshill Tornados
Pride of Portree

The Quarterfinals of the Quidditch World Cup have now begun!  In the Quarterfinal round we have 8 teams, going head to head, over the next 4 weeks.  Just like during the last round, you may choose 1 team from each individual match, meaning that you can complete up to 4 projects.  You are welcome to participate in the Quarterfinals, even if you did not participate in Round 1.  As always, each project is worth 15 points, and you can earn an additional 10 point bonus for SPEW projects.

*Quarterfinal Matches*
July 16 - August 12

#9. Chuddley Cannons vs. Tutshill Tornados
Chuddley Cannons - Please craft something with a polka dot motif, like a cannonball!
Tutshill Tornados - Please craft something with a swirly motif, like a tornado!

#10. Wollongong Warriors vs. Puddlemere United
Wollongong Warriors Please channel your warrior spirit by crafting something strong; either with a strong material (wood, stone, metal) or strong (bold) pattern.
Puddlemere United Make like a puddle and get wet! Please craft something that uses water in the making process or depicts water in the finished piece.

#11. Tarapoto Tree-skimmers vs. Montrose Magpies
Tarapoto Tree-Skimmers Please craft something that uses a leaf, vine, or tree motif.
Montrose Magpies - Please craft something that uses a bird, wing, or feather motif.

#12. Wimbourne Wasps vs. Pride of Portree
Wimbourne Wasps Wasps are pretty unpopular! Learn to love something you currently don't by crafting in a form that's new to you.
Pride of Portree Show us your pride! Please craft in your personal best form or medium.

*Please note, these prompts can also be found in the Quidditch Pitch, on page 1 of the thread.  Also, badges may not be available right away, as we are still having issues with Craftster's photo hosting.

OWL Subject & Option(if available): Potions- Polyjuice potion
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Doll repaint
Brief Description: I'm going to take a Monster High, remove the factory paint and hair, and give her a whole new look! I'm watched a million videos about this on YouTube and it's time to try it myself.  I think I'm going to take a Frankie Stein doll pictured here https://www.amazon.com/Monster-High-Tired-Frankie-Stein/dp/B004XPIPS2 and turn her into a sort of ocean princess.  I'll have her factory paint and hair gone by the end of the week, but the timeline for her face will be dictated by the weather. You have to spray a base coat of sealant and it doesn't work when it's humid outside. Unfortunately, where I live, it's the most humid part of the year.  Roll Eyes However, I will persevere!
