I sometimes get onto a tangent and make a whole bunch of all the same things in a row. Lately it's been bags and the things that go into them.
My mister has been taking great care of himself and doesn't fit in some of his older clothes so yay, jeans! Here are 3 bag sets made with his now too-big-for-him pants.

Made with lots of beautiful scrap fabric from swaps here. I really love this set, it feels lovely and also full of love.

The bag.

Covered journal.

Matching zippered pouch.

I used some favourite fabric for this one for myself.

Inside the pouch is lovely Shibori.

I like the back pockets.

For my sister who lives far away.

This journal was a tricky thing to figure out. I wanted to angle the strips of squares but didn't know how so just winged it. I think it turned out ok.

I really love the parachuting figures. It's a reminder to be brave and daring and trust ourselves being able to do all sorts of frightening things with exhilaration!

Zip pouches from the remnants of curtain fabric for our cousin. The kids really love these.

Pouch, tissue cosy and tea wallet for that cousin's mom, my beloved aunt.

Blue for a friend.

More blue for another friend and her daughter.

Thanks ladies Smiley. I learned lots of tricks and tried a more complex bag next. It's for a swap so will have to wait to show off.

I think you are onto something about destashing...sets are the way to go to use up every bit of fabric...sort of reminds me of the fat quarter swaps where you had to make a lot of things from one fat quarter!!

I particularly love the set you did for yourself...why? Because the fabric is cute, you deserve something cute for yourself...and...shibori!!!  awww...

Love that your hubby's road to health is providing you with a supply of jeans...ha ha ha...

Wowsers, you've been super busy and great at repurposing without letting things go to waste!  I like the purses with the jean back pockets; that's a fun way to reuse the posterior of the jeans while still retaining the pocket functionality.

A lot of my pants were too big for me when I lost weight years ago too, but most of those ended up in the trash (I did keep a few because they're still useful for layering multiple pairs in the winter when it's really cold).

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Not only do you have the best fabric stash but I'm guessing your zipper collection is equally impressive. Congrats on converting your beloved fabric into beautiful things!
