I was sent a necklace for donating to help a pit bull that had been beat up very badly by another dog, even though I said they could use all my donation for the pup instead of sending a gift. I would probably not remember to wear it, even though I love the art they used to make it. So I decided to make it into a medal  awarded to my Delia for Pibbling Above & Beyond the Call of Duty.

I used 3 different grosgrain ribbons from stash sewn together for the vertical part.

I used black twill tape for the horizontal part and a charm I also found in my stash. It covers the lapel pin from an Oracle user convention or something from 2004 that The ManFlesh gave me to craft with.  Roll Eyes

It was hard to photograph because the bezel of the pendant is so shiny it just kept showing reflections of trees, window frames, etc. It was even harder to photograph pinned to Delia's collar, because she doesn't truck with being photographed in general and we had to do it inside because it was pouring down rain which she doesn't truck with either!

You are darn tootin' I am holding a treat in my hand!

I'll probably "have to" make her a fancy dress uniform to pin this to... someday.

Awww! Who's a goo' girl??? Delia!

I had to look up pibbling. I love that they have a word for sweet-natured Pits.

Absolutely in love with this idea, and your beautiful work!  Clearly my Astrid needs an award for exceptional snuggle-puggling.....  Maybe I can frame it in a shadowbox, and put it in her puppy princess 'room'.  Which is the dog playland I built her under my cutting table.

I will probably frame this one, too. Hopefully in a way that I can get it out for her to wear to formal events. Wink  I LOVE the idea of this puppy playroom/palace/place you have made under your cutting table!
