DETAILS OF SWAP:

Let's swap pocket letters!

Pocket Letters are where you take a 9 pocket trading card page and fill each pocket with an ATC (although they don't have to be (and usually aren't) as detailed as an ATC) and small goodies tucked in behind the ATCs (stickers, tea bags, a note, washi tape samples, pictures, ephemera, craft supplies, paper clips, beads) and in one pocket, include a letter.
If you don't know where to find 9 pocket pages they are sold where collectible card games are sold such as Walmat or your local game store.  Or Amazon (25 for $5)
http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Pocket-Page-Protectors/dp/B005HIOVOG

Each pocket can be a different theme or you can have one theme across all 9 pockets

This should be a low cost swap if you keep to all flat items and embellishments and should fit in an
A4 envelope (4 1/4" x 6 1/4") (you would have to fold it but that should not be an issue) or similar size.  I have heard that they should fit into a business sized envelope (4 1/8" x 9 1/2"). Just make sure that it is packaged well and the corners won't tear the envelope! Taping the edges of the envelope might be a good idea.

You can choose 1 or 2 partners.

Check into the swap thread every week!
And thank your partner when you receive!

QUESTIONNAIRE:
Name of swap:
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name and mailing address including the country (as it would appear on an envelope):
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?
Confirm that are at least 18 years old(YES/NO)

Do you want 1 or 2 partners?

What theme(s) would you like your partner to consider making for you?
List at least five but feel free to list more if needed.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

What are your favorite colors:
What colors do you dislike:
List themes you do NOT want to receive:
What (if anything) would you NOT want to receive as an extra/goodie in the pockets behind the ATCs?

Any allergens in your home (pets, smoke, pollen)?
Do you have any allergies?
Pinterest link (to give your partner an idea of what you like)

Anything else youd like to tell the organizer or partner NOT listed in the questionnaire?

so happy to have some joiners all ready!

susie apple made a good point on her questionnaire. this is what she said:

"ALSO, should we pre-plan the format of the pen-pal-esque letter included?  Should this be a list-like About Me or something different? I just want to know in advance what kind of letter my partner would like most."

I have always done an About Me letter with mine (something I made awhile ago, copied and sent along in one of the pockets) but I would love to know what ya'll think. We could use something standard or just leave it up to the individual. I like the pen pal-ness of the About Me letter. Lets you get to know the person a bit. I also like a letter that has a list, like ie. what I am... watching, listening to, reading, ect.

Tell me what you think!

I was always under the understanding that  the letter is just a short blurp about yourself. Some kind of fact that maybe you want to share with your partner.
I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly so I don"t cheat my partner. Is the letter a full letter or just a small ATC size blurp that goes in the back of the letter?  I am up for whatever everyone else decides.  Grin

I love pocket letters! I'm absolutely filling out my application right now! I've been loving making one side of the pocket letters with a big painting then cutting it up and then decorating the backs with coordinating papers and colors and then adding the goodies. It's like art meets crafts. Cheesy
