I made some of these out of felted sweaters but they are a bit too fuzzy for unwrapped treats so I thought about a using woven fabric instead. I started out with one just to see how it would go and then I got a little carried away raiding the fabric bin, ha ha. These are a terrific scrap buster, I used up lots of little bits of ribbon and other trim. We might hang them around the house next year to make the Easter hunt a bit more challenging for the kids as they are getting older. They haven't seen these yet, it will be a surprise!

Clear plastic, tulle or netting can be used for the little windows, I have tried all 3 though the tulle is a bit difficult to make out.

I posted a tutorial here if you're interested in making some for yourself. I think they would be very cute stuffed ornaments or seasonal package tags or even small gifts and am working on some other shapes to share later.

These are a neat, and more personal, alternative to traditional baskets or plastic eggs.  The purple, flower-patterned one, with lace trim, is my favorite design out of the bunch.  In addition to containers for Easter treats, I also think they'd make lovely picture frames!

I am making a different shaped version for a photo right now in fact! Ha ha Cheesy.
I did another purple one with dots that might be my favourite, I don't know... it's hard to choose. I like how bright that yellow one is too.
Yesterday there were plastic eggs spilled from someone's trash & cracked all over the neighbourhood. So sad. I prefer non-disposable packaging whenever possible.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

I love these even more than your adorable sweater versions, if that's possible. They're so bright and cheery, and a great way to use up scraps of fabric/trim too pretty to toss.

I love these little rainbow eggs. They would look cute on an Easter tree!
