Guys I'm so excited!!  I recently completed this Ocean colored afghan that has been an ongoing background project of mine for the last few months and thought I'd share. Smiley I've made blankets before but I think this is the first really serious and involved one I have done thus far (usually I end up making stuffed toys and such).

(Patronus Sweater Pillow by PerfectlyBohemian)

I've been having this huge desire for vintage/victorian lace inspired designs and have been fortunate enough to find some charts for squares that definitely give off that vibe on Pinterest and Ravelry.

I came across this particular chart on Pinterest-

And I did a few test squares in a few blue tones -

I loved it so much I tossed in an extra teal/blue color and kept going!

I did end up finding a granny square pattern randomizer online that was free but I love symmetry and didn't think my heart could handle an asymmetric design for this lol

I love how it turned out but I think my favorite part of this is the edging I chose.  I think it gives the blanket an overall, polished look.

I've already started in on another blanket using an octagonal "square" pattern and will post when I finish that one up. Wink

thanks for looking!! Cheesy

This is AMAZING studioANF!  Well done.  I love your color palette, and your edging is to die for.  If the 'this rocks' button was working, I'd be all over it.  Beautiful.  Cheesy

I also love the more vintage crochet patterns...I have found that I can follow a chart much better than reading the pattern!

I love how you laid out the pattern...sometimes we need balance and not random!

Beautiful job, Studio!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.
