I'm going to try to use the app that everyone keeps suggesting. If all goes well I'll be able to post pictures again! Smiley This past week or so in Michigan has been terribly hot and muggy so we haven't been out doing much lately. With the heat index its been anywhere from 100-105 F. Yuck!

It's also been a heat wave in Ohio, and with preparing for vacation, we've stayed close to home, and inside. Monday we will be taking Baranof with us to the Shenandoah Valley and then DC.

We had INSANE thunderstorms here for the 4th of July - so much so that several local fireworks displays were cancelled. We even got stuck at a RR crossing which was down because it got hit by lightning, shutting down the road and making us detour miles out of the way to get around it. So...not a lot of Independence Day fun for us in Florida. LOL

Hi Anne! Looks like the girls and Wallace are loving the family vacation. Poor Lilith isn't getting to have much fun at all. I am not good at going out in this heat!

Hm, I need to find a way to post actual pictures, but Darth is still doing fine.  It's been stupidly busy at work, and insanely hot, so we haven't done a lot other than craft and game.  Another CAF event this weekend, more volunteering at puppy adoptions, and another blood drive coming up next week, though, with hopefully a slowdown at work that will give me some breathing room!

Baranof is packed in my Anchorage Alaska bag, taking care of a quilt I am working on. We went through the car wash, which is a big deal, because my country road is always dusty, so it's a treat! Lastly  Baranof in the car as we pass Seneca Rock, WV. We did not get out and explore, but did stop at a gift shop up the road for souveniers anyway.

Echo and I apologize for being out of the loop for a while... I was supposed to be totally done with moving by now, but my original movers cancelled on me the day they were supposed to pick up, and I had to scramble to make new plans, and it has thrown the entire month of July into (expensive) disarray!

We are planning to squeeze in some fun here and there, though.

About a week ago I dropped my kiddos off at summer camp (only 5 days) and we passed through this little speck of a place called Georgetown that was big in historic gold mining. There was an antique shop that had new and antique style bird houses and one that was made just like the hotel and saloon in town! So Harriet got to take photos in front of both before helping me drop the girls off. Then I/we got to have some nice leisurely time at the lake!

Oh! I forgot! Harriet and the girls found a ghoste in the attic window of the hotel!
