Hi everybody! I have a treat for you today Smiley

A few years ago I stumbled across some cute elf dolls in a bag of donated plushies. As it was just before Christmas I decided to give them a makeover in my own particular way (BIG grins with lots of shiny resin teeth of course!)

First I take the plushie, open up a new mouth hole and sew in some felt. (With Zelly my little helper at the end there  Grin

Then I sculpt the mouth hole by sewing through the cheeks and add my signature resin teeth

When I shared them on Facebook they were an instant hit. I'd created my own version of the Elf on the Shelf craze and my followers loved watching the elves get up to mischief.

Helping with deliveries

Caught them in bed with Tiffany, don't tell Chucky!

The first two I created were a part of a giveaway I was running on Facebook and they found a home in Salem Massachusetts of all places! I was thrilled that my creations were headed to a place with such rich history!

Then the commissions started coming in, everyone wanted an elf of their own. Luckily the brand of elf I worked with is quite popular in stores here in the UK around Christmas time. I try to find pre-owned elf dolls where possible to stick to the core values of what I do, but I have had to buy the odd new one here and there to meet demand. I try to make up for it by using recycled trinkets to decorate them.

The infection begins...

It's an epidemic!

I didn't know they could read...

One elf with his bestie, Yellow Snow

They've now become a Green Devil Christmas tradition with people waiting to see them on the Facebook page again. This year I've tried to make them all a little different and give them each a personality of their own.

Oh no, this one's a trainee!

My first female elf. She started life as the same base model as the rest, but I gave her some pigtails and a new skirt Smiley

Now I have this big guy to work on! Watch this space. He's going to be fuuuuun  Grin

This is one of the best things I've seen all week.
Some of those elves are getting a bit frisky.  And that book.  hilarious.

Great job.  These are awesome.

Love the work on these! Grin I would love at some point, somewhere, to see more about how you make the teeth.

Thanks Smiley I don't actually make the teeth. I buy them. Found them while searching the darker side of eBay one day. They're made from resin and I think they use them to repair dentures  Cheesy
