I placed a zillion blue glass pebbles on a mold, fired to 1400 degrees to create this wall art/tray.  It measures 14 inches across.  Easy to make.

Beautiful.  Looks like honeycomb, and like water droplets.

Very cool-looking creation!  It makes me think of an insect's compound eye and, given the transparency of the glass pebbles, I imagine it would cast some interesting patterns if hung in a window or in front of some other light source.  How sturdy is it?  I don't know anything about fusing pieces of glass together, so, I'm curious about the strength of multiple small units melted together like that.

It appears to be fairly sturdy.  The glass annealed slowly.  So, it seems strong.  I have it on the wall.  The light from the skylight does cast interesting patterns on the wall.

Thanks for the kind feedback.

Oh my goodness, the kiln for this piece must have been enormous. Most fused glass creations are quite small in comparison. Impressive!
