I've been plugging away at updating our guest room over the last year or so: lamps x 3, bedside tables, window shades, new paint & new outlets/switches. One of the last projects is a quick-ish slip cover for the arm chair that lives in there.

The new looks is certainly less interesting, but also more up-to-date and also a good color for the room - particular after we rip out that carpet (hopefully this spring).

The seat cover is utilizing gravity, but the back cover uses a a "strap" and a couple bottoms on each side.

I did buy the fabric, but had the thread and buttons in my stash. The herringbone pattern echoes the herringbone on the shades I made a couple weeks ago.

Looks nice and crisp and is a great update that matches the rest of the room. The buttons cap it off nicely!

lovely job.
I kept wondering what those thingies were sticking out the side, first on one side, then on the other.  OH, drawer handles!

Thanks everyone!

The buttons were a gift from a friend, I believe they are coconut shell w/ pyrography. I have a bunch!
