REPOST, because I had some problems posting the picture yesterday:

AND NOW, I've got to show off the card I received from curiousfae. She ended up going with my "Inspired by The Codex Seraphinianus" theme. (Google Images of The Codex Seraphinianus) The Codex is a book from the '80s, that's an illustrated encyclopedia of an imaginary world. I just stumbled upon pictures on Pinterest and became super intrigued. I don't own the book, because it's a pretty penny, but it's definitely on a list of things I might need to treat myself to someday. Curiousfae did such a bang-up job on this card. You'd think it was straight out of the book! It's so whimsical and creative. I started to think about what other creatures might swim in these waters. And then the strange text in the top left corner- great touch. I'm so happy to add this card to my collection.

My last ATC of the month arrived. Rockingbearranch spoiled me with some extras. It was such a great way to wrap up this swap. The theme she claimed was French Words. I've never heard of the word "hurluberlu", but it is so fun to say, and apparently it means weirdo. I also read it can translate into English to mean cranky. Haha. I love it. The vintage, collage style of this card is darling. I really love the combination of the browns and teals. Again, thanks so much for a wonderful swap, rockingbearranch. I'm hooked again and I think I'll join up for April!

MmmHmm. Every single card in this gallery is a beauty. It's hard for me to stick with this because I feel pretty out of my element with paper (in fact, I often default to fabric even with these, ha!) but I signed up again for April and will keep at it to try and improve my skills. You guys are all amazing inspirations. Amazing.

craftylittlemonkey, your ATCs are just as wonderful as everyone else's!! I love how diverse ATCs are! I like that they are the perfect size to try something new! Also, by doing the monthly swaps, I can see my own artwork improving! And I like to see how others do things and I try to incorporate those techniques in my ATCs.

CLM, sewn/yarnie atc's are highly sought after by those who like to collect them because they are on the rare side.

Good to know 'cause I just sent some Cheesy. It's the illustration that I struggle with. I have never been much of a sketcher. Sketchy, maybe sometimes, yes but that's not what we're talking about, lol.

I rec'd this from cmarion3 for my creatures theme, letter C- comb jelly ctenophora (I looked these up....amazing, beautiful creatures!)

You can't tell from the photo because the camera didn't pick it up well but it was made from scratch paper and the underlying color is metallic gold. Super cool!

Thanks carol! Perfect addition to my collection.

I got two!

From Susie Apple a neat card for my "masks" theme, and a really cool envelope:

From cmarion3, two doll protest signs with a collaged tag/card:

CLM-- I keep having moments of "but I'm not a *real* papercrafter" & then reminding myself that I do things with paper all the time; they're just not the same things everyone else does.  And then I might have sent some felt "cards" because I wanted to use embroidery designs that would have shredded paper...

"And the moral of Pierre is 'Care'." -Maurice Sendak

Ugh, it's like Thanos, ok?  the long E is the feminine ending.  (Also, I prefer *not* to destroy the universe when possible.)
Thann-uh-tay, no "nate".
