For Christmas, my sister and I got our mom a Silhouette. While looking for things to make, my mom saw that many people put a monogram on their machines, so we decided that we needed them too. My moms has a fairy on it (but I didn't take a picture of it) but I decided to just use a mandala.

I cut it out at my mom's in FL, weeded it, and applied the transfer tape before I traveled home so it wouldn't get ruined in my carry-on.

I picked the color to go with the cover that I had embellished a little while ago. I thought that it would also match the print on the cover of the Silhouette itself, but it doesn't. But, I'm okay with that Smiley

Thanks! It seems a bit silly, since none of my other crafty friends have one, so there's no way we'll mix them up, but it was a good project to help my mom learn how to do some things with her Silhouette.

Cheesy Well, it's not a name tag, it's a monogram. MUCH more sophisticated!

Great project to learn with. I got a Silhouette last year and have barely touched it. Monograms would be a cool thing to play with. Thanks for the idea. Yours turned out great. Was it tricky to do?

Ooh, I love it!  I recently got a Cricut and I've been rolling around ideas in my noggin to decorate it, too.  Yours is so pretty!

Thanks, everyone! The monogram cut file came with a monogram in every letter of the alphabet (aAa, bBb, etc.), so I just had to copy the letters I needed and put them in to one of the frames. I kept the large, central letter in place and then deleted the other "g" letters. Then, I copied the C and the J and pasted them in place. It wasn't hard, and now I want to monogram all the things!

gozer, take it out of the box! And, sweets4ever, I'm betting that you can come up with something even more clever than a standard monogram Smiley And, MistressT, I do feel extra fancy now Grin
