This looks so incredible, both stitching and coloring!

Have you tried the q-snap embroidery frame? It's very easily tightened, and best of all (for me) is that it doesn't leave any creases on the fabric like a hoop does!

I have one of those and I noticed in one of your photos that you had your fabric in one. I've tried it only once with aida for a cross stitch. I will have to give it another go.

I really did think it was a drawing...or even a mixed media piece with a cut out drawing on a painting. Just fab. I've done the colored pencils before; but not watercolor pencils. And crayons. Going to have to find myself one of those Morgan hoops when I get a chance!

Nuthatches are so cute. We used to have one that climbed the tree in our yard every spring, but the tree died and had to go. This stitching is wonderful. It looks so real.

Thank you very much - we had a LOT of nuthatches this winter.  I have several trees in the front, and I added more incentive with several suet feeders, a peanut feeder, and putting out peanut butter on sticks and smearing it on some branches.  On top of the three seed feeders I have!  The squirrels, woodpeckers and other birds are rather in love right now with the front of my house.
