I wanted to have some kid-friendly items for my holiday gift buffet.  I wanted something that was engaging, quiet, and possibly small, with some replay value.  So I came up with these memory game "card" sets, with the added bonus of using up some fabric scraps.

I ending up making five sets.  Each had 10 matches, so 20 cards total.

The backs...or fronts, depending on how you look at it, were made from some random gray fabric remnants I picked up a few years ago.  More stash busting!

I packaged them all up in some drawstring bags.

They were generally well liked.  Easy and portable...and something different to do to occupy the kids while out at a restaurant.  Smiley

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

That's a great idea and a very cool re-use of scrap fabric.   They'll probably last a lot longer than the usual cardstock variety too!

Since first seeing this I've loved it, it's a wonderful idea that you brought to life so beautifully. I sure wish I'd seen it when my kids were younger. Thankfully we have friends with new babies so I'll have lots of years of making awesome things like this. Thank you for the inspiration.
